Life can change in the blink of an eye, especially for a helpless animal with no one to protect it. That was the heartbreaking reality for a tiny puppy discovered on the side of a road in Morocco after suffering a devastating brain injury. She lay completely motionless, leaving little reason to believe she would survive. Yet one compassionate rescuer refused to give up on her. She had suffered severe brain trauma and showed almost no signs of movement. The outlook was heartbreaking, and no one could know whether she would survive the next few hours.
