Nelson Goes Party Dessert Shopping

With my birthday fast approaching, Mom took me party dessert shopping. We each get to go to the Three Dog Bakery each year to choose a dessert for our birthday party. It is one of our favorite parts of our birthdays!

The store is always amazing with all the stuff to see and smell, and we get to taste some things too. They have rearranged the store since the last time we were there. This low hanging basket of treats caught my nose right as I walked in the door.

All the bones and rawhides are now in the back of the store. It is probably a good idea since they are not really good for dogs and we are not allowed to have them. I still do enjoy giving the selection a good sniff over, though.

The no hides which are like rawhides but are not rawhide are also pretty yummy smelling. Mom bought them for us one time but we were not thrilled so she hasn’t bought them again. They do have a nice smell, though.

I checked out one of the two bakery cases to see what might work for my birthday. The problem I have is finding something with green. If I had Olivia’s birthday in March it would be easier because of St Patrick’s Day but I have winter where everything is in blue.

I decided to ask the baker about a few of the desserts I was considering and how green would work or not work with them.

It is always so complicated with flavors, style, and green. I needed to clear my head and nose, so I went back to the no hide rack to sniff and think for a bit.

Mom and I discussed the best options and I made my decision. “Hey, lady, I’m ready to put in my order!” We got it all squared away and Mom paid for it, so it is a done deal. Now we just have to pick it up in time for my party! I picked out three treats to take home for us to eat right away and then we left. I love that place!
