Happiness is Christmas decorating. It’s exciting every year to get out all the decorations that have been in storage for almost a year. The look of the living room gets all cozy and nice. Each year we put up the decorations but not in the exact same way.
Mom brought up the tree from the basement and put the tree skirt around it. Naughty Nelson decided to play with it and get it all ruffled up. Of course, he got caught but being the holidays no real punishment was given.
I grabbed the cute stuffed elf to put at the fireplace with Santa and his reindeer.
Mom hangs up our stockings because the mantle is too high for us to reach. Olivia wanted to make sure the job was done right. I really think she was just wondering if there was anything in her stocking yet.
Nelson got the bin open with the table decorations for the dining room. If you look, you can see the caroler family is on top of the bin.
I love to help Mom hang the ornaments on the tree. This is a jingle bell wreath that really makes jingles if I shake my head while holding it.
We finished decorating pretty quickly. Nelson donned the Santa hat and declared our house now, “Christmas Ready.” It’s a lot of work but it does make the holiday season much more cozy.
