We experienced the Sandusky surprise on our trip home from Maine. The plan was to stop for a mural real quick but we ended up spending an hour in the city. This is us on the end of the pier. Behind us that farthest thing in the water is Cedar Point Amusement Park. Mom and our navigator wanted to go there but it wasn’t open, thankfully. We didn’t even realize this town was right on the water.
The @greetingstour mural we came to see is right on the beginning of the pier. It is the second mural we were looking for specifically on this trip. The other one was in our post on Monday, the Portland, Maine decal mural.
This town we found out has a bunch of great murals. Of course, we have to stop and pose with them. We stumbled up this cool water and dog mural. See the balloon dog and the bone in the middle. We think it is a cool one.
As we walked through town we came across this lighthouse. Since we were in lighthouse mode from Maine, why not take a photo with this cute little one.
This mural is on the side of a store building and was created to highlight the history high points of the city.
Pretty much right next to the history mural is a more modern looking mural showcasing city accomplishments.
Our very favorite mural is this huge one! Do you even see us sitting in front of it? Lake Erie Love seems to be the town theme and this giant mural is all about that. We love the bright colors and cheerfulness.
We’ll end our stop in Sandusky with a photo of us on the pier with Mom on the giant Adirondack chair. We had a lot of fun on our trip to Maine and all of us came home tired out but quite happy.
I’m joining my friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
